Acornsoft, the first cloud-native platform company in Korea (co-CEOs Jinbum Kim and Youngsoo Lee), won the ‘Cloud SaaS Category’ at the 4th SW AWARD ceremony held on the 10th for its online PaaS service, Cocktail Cloud Online.
Hosted by the Public Sector Client Association and the Government Informatization Association, the 4th Public Sector SW AWARD recognizes outstanding contributions to government and public sector informatization projects in 2023.
The ‘Cloud SaaS Category’ is particularly prestigious, with only four companies selected for this award.
Acornsoft’s win highlights the high quality and exceptional performance of Cocktail Cloud Online, which has significantly contributed to digital transformation.
This award reinforces Acornsoft’s role as a leading company driving progress in the public sector.
Cocktail Cloud Online is the only PaaS service in Korea that has received GS Grade 1 and CSAP certification.
It is a cloud-native platform that can be used in a SaaS format without the need for installation or setup.
This ‘All-in-One’ product provides an integrated DevOps environment for managing the entire lifecycle of build, deployment, execution, monitoring, and logging.
It supports K8S clusters from various domestic and international CSPs, enabling the configuration of multi/hybrid cloud environments.
Particularly, Cocktail Cloud Online can reduce cloud infrastructure costs by 70-80% for public and small-medium enterprises that want to transition to cloud-native but find the adoption of solutions burdensome.
The K-POP specialized online concert streaming service ‘Beyond Live,’ which adopted Cocktail Cloud Online, achieved significant results after transitioning to cloud-native, including reduced deployment and auto-scaling times and the ability to handle up to 1 million concurrent users without service interruption.
This case demonstrates how cloud-native transition can enhance service stability, scalability, and development/operation productivity, while also reducing cloud costs. Similar benefits are expected in the public sector's digital transformation.
Jinbum Kim, CEO of Acornsoft, stated, “With this award, we will actively support the cloud-native transition of public institutions and small-medium enterprises, contributing to the expansion of the domestic SaaS ecosystem. We will also continue to provide advanced, verified solutions for MSA-based cloud-native transition projects linked to the government’s standard framework.”
Acornsoft serves a wide range of clients, including large corporations, public enterprises,
public institutions, and small-medium enterprises. This award reaffirms its leadership and innovation as Korea’s first cloud-native platform company.
